It is close enough to downtown Tucson that people regularly attend concerts, visit the art gallery, take in sports and cultural events at the University of Arizona, an eat at downtown restaurants. There are numerous golf courses nearby such as Crooked Tree (3 miles), Silverbell, El Conquistador, The Pines, Vistoso Golf Club Dell Urich and others. Green fees at these courses are very reasonable and are often in the $25-$45 price range.
The many common areas in La Cholla Hills are well maintained and there is an active home owners association. Residents are free to participate in as many or as few activities as they would like.
La Cholla Hills is also a very safe community where people feel at ease walking day or night.
Meeting people and making new friends is easy if that is what you want to do. Come to an event at the Clubhouse, talk to people who are out walking, or volunteer for a Home Owners Association committee. However, if you prefer to keep to yourself your privacy will be respected.
